Revitalized Douglas Avenue:

Douglas Avenue, the main thoroughfare through Downtown Wichita, has undergone a significant transformation over the last decade. The avenue has been widened and sidewalks have been improved, making it more pedestrian-friendly. New street lighting, public art installations, and landscaping have also been added to enhance the street’s aesthetic appeal.

Exploration Place:

This science museum underwent a $30 million renovation in 2019, creating new exhibits and experiences for visitors. The renovated museum features interactive exhibits, a state-of-the-art planetarium, and a new outdoor playground.

The Ambassador Hotel:

The historic Ambassador Hotel, which originally opened in 1926, underwent a $22 million renovation in 2012, restoring the building to its former grandeur. The hotel features 117 guest rooms, a rooftop bar, and a restaurant.

Union Station:

The historic Union Station building, which was built in 1914, underwent a $54 million renovation in 2010, creating a mixed-use development featuring apartments, retail space, and a coworking space.

Riverfront Stadium:
